Methodology

How We Work

We work on the decision, not inside the organisation that made it. Our method is built to protect the independence and accuracy of the opinion, not the speed of the exchange or the comfort of the people involved.

Communication

Principle of Indirect Communication

We do not communicate directly at any stage. Everything passes through email: your request, the documents, and whatever supporting material you choose to send.

This is not a preference about how we like to work. It is what keeps the opinion independent.

Rationale

Why No Meetings

A conversation in real time reproduces the logic of the team that produced the decision. We are engaged precisely to break that logic and look at the decision from outside.

Meetings and live calls typically:

  • ·Reward the fastest answer rather than the strongest argument
  • ·Amplify presence and persuasion rather than reasoning
  • ·Produce formal consensus rather than real scrutiny

So we rely on:

  • ·Written communication via official email
  • ·Analytical memoranda
  • ·Supporting documents

Prerequisites

Conditions for Initiating Work

We begin only when the decision under review is clearly defined, stated with precision, and open to structured examination. To start, you provide, in English:

  • ·A definition of the decision under study
  • ·The context in which it was taken
  • ·The specific points you want examined

What cannot be clearly formulated cannot be responsibly evaluated.

Commencement

We confirm the scope of work and the fee in writing, with reference to our Terms of Engagement, and you accept both in writing before paying. Work formally begins once full payment has been received and the fourteen-day refund period in our Pricing and Payment Policy has passed, or on the day of payment if you choose in writing to waive that period.

Method

Decision Examination

We treat each decision as a hypothesis to be tested, not a conviction to be defended. The examination covers:

  • ·The decision's internal logic
  • ·The assumptions beneath it
  • ·The biases that time pressure and accumulated commitment bring
  • ·The points of no return, with the silent cost attached to each option

YBNA does not:

  • ·Redraft executive or operational plans
  • ·Propose operational solutions
  • ·Participate in decision management

The Deliverable

What You Receive

A written professional opinion that includes:

  • ·A clear executive summary
  • ·Focused analytical assessment
  • ·Classification of the decision's state as one of: Sound for continuation / Requires course correction / No longer justified for continuation
  • ·Delivered within ten working days of commencement, as a signed document issued in the name of YBNA, in English

The executive decision and full responsibility for it remain entirely with you. Our role ends when the state of the decision is clear. We do not follow up on implementation, take part in operations, or become a party to outcomes.
